APricot Oil

Apricot oil (Prunus armeniaca) is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids that help condition hair and skin. It penetrates skin cells without leaving a greasy feel and is well-known for its protective and nourishing properties.

Avocado Oil

 Avocados yield an extremely deep-penetrating oil, rich in vitamins A, D and E, as well as potassium – commonly known as the mineral of youth. They also contain proteins, beta-carotene, lecithin and more than twenty percent essential unsaturated fatty acids. Their high concentrations of sterolins help to reduce the appearance of age spots, sun damage and scars. It is the sterolins (sometimes called plant steroids) in the oil that help soften the skin and impart an enhanced moisturizing effect. Avocado oil is easily absorbed into deep tissue where it significantly increases the amount of collagen in the skin. With its wonderfully emollient properties avocado oil is an ideal ingredient for mature, dehydrated, sun or climate damaged skin. Bergamot Oil

The powerful antiseptic action of Bergamot Oil (Citrus Bergamia) makes it beneficial for treating wounds, acne and dry skin. Bergamot has also been found to increase the skin’s immunity to infections.

BlackcurrAnt Seed Oil

Black currant seed oil is rich in essential omega-6 fatty acids which promote and maintain the body’s vital functions. It is also high in GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) which has been proven to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles.

Borage Oil

Rich in GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) borage, or starflower oil, is used in skin care products to boost collagen production to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is also highly effective for the treatment of minor inflammations.

Burdock Extract

Clary Sage Oil

The name ‘clary’ is derived from the Latin word sclarea meaning ‘clear’ – appropriate, since Clary Sage Oil (Slvia Sclarea) helps maintain a clear complexion by regulating sebum production. It also helps in reduce swelling.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter has been called the ultimate moisturizer and has been used to keep skin soft and supple for centuries. It is one of the most stable, highly concentrated natural fats known, and because it melts at body temperature, is readily absorbed into the skin. Cocoa butter is often recommended for the treatment of skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. Applied topically, it creates a barrier between sensitive skin and the environment and at the same time helps skin cells retain moisture.

Pregnant women have long used cocoa butter formulations to prevent and treat stretch marks, but this pleasant-smelling ingredient is added to countless other topical preparations. Recent research suggests that massaging the skin with cocoa butter may help relieve stress and boost the immune system.

Ginger is a valuable medicinal root. It can increase the skin’s radiance and decrease the inflammation that may contribute to conditions such as psoriasis and acne. Ginger is also a powerful antioxidant, valued for its ability to inhibit harmful free radicals that cause skin damage and aging.

Gingko Biloba Extract

Ginkgo biloba is a vasodilator which helps increase circulation, improve sebaceous secretions, decrease capillary hyper-permeability, improve tissue irrigation and activate cell metabolism. It also has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic properties and is effective at increasing the creation of fibroblast, collagen and extracellular fibronectin.

Grapeseed Oil

An antioxidant used in many skin care products, grapeseed is known for its anti aging properties. It is exceptionally rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins that help tone and tighten the skin. Grapeseed oil is high in linoleic acid, a fatty acid essential for the health of skin and cell membranes, making it a highly effective moisturizer. Because the nutrients in grapeseed oil are easily absorbed instead of sitting on top of the skin, it is also effective at fighting free radicals and protecting against some of the enzymes that destroy collagen, elastin and other connective tissue. In addition to nourishing your skin and helping keep it smooth and supple, grapeseed oil inhibits the development of fine lines and wrinkles caused by the loss of collagen and elastin.

Jojoba Seed Oil

Jojoba is a botanical extract derived from the seed of the jojoba tree. Interestingly, it is not actually an oil; rather, it is a wax ester. This wax ester is so similar to human skin oil (sebum) that applying jojoba to the skin can “trick” it into thinking it’s producing enough oil, thereby balancing the skin’s oil production. Jojoba seed oil is extremely stable, high in antioxidants and vitamin E, and is instrumental in the maintenance of glowing skin.

Marine Collagen

Marine collagen stimulates collagen production and elastin collagen thickening, encourages skin renewal and reduces the appearance of both deep wrinkles and fine lines. By helping prevent collagen and elastin breakdown it is instrumental in firming the skin.

Oat Protein

Oat protein is a natural humectant clinically proven to increase hydration. In skin care products it is used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. A soluble form of oats containing 23% oligosaccharides and 3% protein retains up to 50% more moisture than comparable proteins. It conditions the skin and hair and contributes to the silky feel of creams, lotions, shampoos, conditioners and other liquid formulations.
